It's that time of year where your Executive Board and countless volunteers begin planning for the 2021 ISHA convention. Yup, we are planning an absolutely stacked list of local and national presenters to help you bridge the gap between research and practice. So save the date: The convention is being held on September 9-11 at the Boise Centre (near the Grove Hotel) in downtown Boise. Wanna' know who is presenting? Well, I'll give you a sneak peak into the school-based track national speaker.
Coming to us from the University of New Mexico is Dr. Cathy Binger who specializes in augmentative and alternative communication for children with complex communication needs. Cant wait to to hear her speak to gain some of that sweet sweet AAC knowledge? Well, head over to Speech Paths, where we kicked off our first CEU podcast episode with Dr. Binger. You can hear her talk about typical language development milestones and how SLPs can create better, more functional goals.

Speaking of updates, do you have an idea, position, or way to help others practice at the top of their license? Don't be shy, we know you do! And because we know you're awesome, we invite you to submit a proposal to present a poster or an oral presentation at the upcoming ISHA 2021 Convention. The poster session will be held Thursday evening and oral presentations will take place on Friday and Saturday.
